I wanted to create something that reflected today's events, how the world can be hectic and scary, and how we are uncertain about what the future might bring. So I drew the Earth as a bomb surrounded by chaos. Time is running out for Earth, but we don't know why we are going to kill Earth first.

The New Yorker is a magazine that features all sorts of journalism, from politics to culture to fiction to poetry to cartoons. On its cover, instead of using words or pictures to grab its readers' attention, it displays an illustration that reflects what is currently going on in the world or the main topic of this magazine. It covers various topics that have occurred over the past two weeks. Here I have the illustration display as the cover of the magazine and the magazine layout.
Social Media
To spread the word I have the magazine cover posted on Instagram. In their post, they mention the artist and discuss in detail their work and how it reflects one of the current trending topics.
In addition to social media, The New York Times can use podcasts to inform the public about what is happening in today's news and entertain their audience with the various features displayed in their magazines for people on the go.
