Hello

I think I got my creativity from my mom. It was either that, or it might be because I am left-handed. I remember when I was in kindergarten, we were given a book assignment every week. We were supposed to draw a picture of what we read, and instead of drawing a picture, I told my mom to draw it for me. She would place a piece of paper on the book's cover, trace the cover, and color it with colored pencils. She would stay up pretty late to finish up the drawing. I remember it was one of the things I looked forward to the next day. I would hand it to my teacher, and of course, she looked amazed yet confused because she knew well that I didn't draw this picture, yet she still accepted it. I always enjoyed looking at the results of these drawings because they looked exactly like the cover. I guess I was always proud of the work my mom did, and I couldn't wait to see the look on my teacher's face when she received the drawing. I really enjoy looking at her drawings. I guess that was when the sparks of my creativity began.

As I got older, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and sometimes Wednesdays were my favorite days of the school year because we attended art class. I am a quiet person, so art was like my safe haven. There were no rules on how to make art, only guidelines. As a kid, you don't care how the artwork turns out. You enjoy the process because it is fun and relaxing. Just seeing all those colors clash with one another and dissolve onto the paper is like playing with your imagination. I enjoy creating art because of the freedom to create something in your head and see your vision drawn out on paper.
